Moon |
| |
| The Sandia Mountains are special to every Albuquerquean. Seeing them, we
know we are home. Some of us have been fortunate to observe them
for most of out lives. I say “observe” because they appear
different on an almost daily basis. The light changes throughout
the day as well as throughout the year. Summer light is
different than winter light. Morning light is different than
midday or twilight. Then there are the different phases of the
moon, sometimes observable during the day and often dramatically
as the day slips into night on a hot August evening. And
finally, there are the clouds that accent the sky, sometimes
partially or completely obscuring the moon. Sandia Moon celebrates only one instance of the many views
seen over a lifetime, that of a winter morning: crisp, cold,
calm and peaceful. |
