| Randy's Engine #487 is about a
dream I had about my big brother, Randy. I imagined him roaming the
length and breadth of America aboard his very own train. I could
envision him chugging across the plains, climbing the Rockies, racing
antelope on the high desert plateau, bursting out of mountain tunnels,
quietly encircling placid lakes, and rolling along both quiet streams
and raging rivers. When I asked Randy what he would do if he had his
very own train he said he would probably go up to Seattle, cross over to
Wyoming then return to his wife and children in Colorado to stay, which
is where he really belongs anyway, surrounded by the comforts of home
and the family he loves. |
