Floresta Encantada |

| La
Floresta Encantada (The Enchanted Forest in local New
Mexican Spanish) depicts the front line of trees that receive the brunt
of the weather atop Sandia Crest, the highest point of the mountain east
of Albuquerque. The boulder in the lower left is the actual edge of the
mountain. To get a shot which included the actual edge of the mountain,
I climbed down on a rock ledge and prayed I wouldn’t fall down the 500
foot cliff face directly behind me!! Apparently, I’ve lived to tell
the tale! |
