Dale Tanis
was born in Lansing, Illinois in 1961. He was raised in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, beginning in 1969. He has been in several
group shows at museums, galleries, colleges, and cultural centers across
the United States, including the Springfield Art Museum, Springfield,
MO; Light Tight Gallery, Kalamazoo, MI; Gallery One, Boston, MA; Costal
Arts Museum, Half Moon Bay, CA; Regis College, Weston, MA; Project
Center For The Arts, Cambridge, MA; and Alameda Museum, Alameda, CA.
Mr. Tanis’ work resides in private collections in Malaysia, Taiwan,
New Zealand, and throughout the United States. A series of photographs
is also in the corporate collection of Signature Apparel in Braintree,
MA.
Mr. Tanis latest award was First Prize in Professional Fine Arts:
Printmaking at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
2004.
Mr. Tanis attended New England School of Photography in Boston, MA
and completed the two-year intensive program with Honors in Non-Silver
Photography.
